Q: What should my pH be when planting a food plot?
A: The pH of your soil will measure its acidity. Your best pH would be 7.5 (which is considered nuetral), however some mixes and individual seeds can tolerate lower pH levels. If your pH is below 7.5 we recommend adding lime to your soil before you plant to improve your pH. Purchase our Soil Test Kit ($19.95) and have your soil tested to ensure the most accurate pH reading with lime/fertilizer recommendations. With continuous management you should be able to produce the best food plot.

Q: What would be the best thing to plant in my food plot?
AA: This broad question depends on what you want to accomplish. Also, what type of goals you have with your food plot? Do you want to provide nutrition for deer, develop an attractant or imprint a herd. Depending on the answer to these questions will determine what MonsterBuck mix or individual seeds you will need for your food plots.

Q: When is the best time to plant?/strong>
A: Again, the answer to this questions depends on your goals. If you want to provide nutrition or imprint a herd the spring is the best time to plant. This way you have late spring, all summer and fall to provide full season nutrition. However, if you main goal is to develop an attractant late summer or early fall would be the best time to plant.
